Home Safety
Upgrades

RESPONSE SERVICE TOWNSVILLE

Home safety upgrades assist women and children in enhancing their safety while remaining in the home after leaving an abusive relationship. This is done by providing practical safety upgrades to the property and ongoing support as required.

To be eligible for the programme, it is preferred that you have a current Domestic Violence Order with a condition that prohibits the respondent from entering or remaining at your residence.

We will work with you to discuss and assess which options would best suit your home and what would be appropriate for your situation.

Providing window locks and alarms

Installing sensor lights

Changing locks

The following are some examples of ways we may be able to help make a property more secure:

Providing personal alarms

Installing finger guards on screen doors

Installing CCTV cameras

Installing security screens on windows
