RESPONSE SERVICE MOUNT ISA

We offer walk-in or phone support for people experiencing domestic and family violence.
No appointment is required.

Our staff are trained and experienced domestic and family violence specialists who are here to help. They understand the impacts of living with abuse and violence. Our approach is trauma-informed, non-judgmental, and survivor-led.

We are also here to support anyone concerned about a loved one. We can discuss how you might best support someone who might be experiencing domestic and family violence.

Safety planning and creating support plans 

Assistance with applying for or varying a domestic violence order

Providing information, resources,
and options for next steps 

We are here to support you and can assist with: 

Referral to safe accommodation 

Providing support letters and assistance with applying for support packages 

Referral to other services as needed

Court Based Service

RESPONSE SERVICE MOUNT ISA

We provide court support to women who experience domestic and family violence and have proceedings before the Mount Isa Specialist Domestic and Family Violence Court.

Our service also works with respondents by providing information about the court process and referral to services including our Men’s Behaviour Change Program.

RESPONSE SERVICE MOUNT ISA

Our model of practice includes case management to help you transition from homelessness or temporary shelter to sustainable housing. We collaborate with other homelessness services in Mount Isa to offer information, support, referrals, and practical assistance in finding appropriate housing. 

Our staff are trained and experienced domestic and family violence specialists who are here to help. We offer walk-in or phone support for anyone experiencing domestic and family violence to help you maintain your tenancy or access immediate shelter. 

We provide early intervention through risk and needs assessments and safety planning to support clients and their children in maintaining their tenancy or accessing immediate shelter.
