DVNQ Reconciliation Action Plan
DVNQ recognises that inclusion is an ongoing commitment and an evolving space. The organisation remains dedicated to continuous learning and improvement, ensuring that inclusivity is at the core of everything we do.
Separate to the Diversity and Inclusion Working Group, DVNQ also continues to meet regularly to identify and implement actions that build cultural capability and cultural safety across our organisation. The Conciliation Working Group works to a Terms of Reference, Action Plan and overarching Conciliation Commitment Document.
DVNQ maintains a Diversity and Inclusion Working Group to strengthen safe practice and ensure alignment with community expectations.
The purpose of this group is to ensure the organisation responds appropriately to the needs of disadvantaged, vulnerable, complex, and/or minority clients, while providing a safe and informed practice environment for all individuals engaging with our services.
DVNQ recognises the diversity of cultures, languages and experiences within the communities we serve and acknowledges the additional barriers this may create. We are committed to culturally safe, inclusive, and responsive practices that reduce language barriers and ensure individuals are supported to share their stories, be heard, and access our services equitably. DVNQ is guided by the Multicultural Queensland Charter (Multicultural Recognition Act, 2016) which supports equitable access to services for all people to help build a fair community.
